Angry white men

Warning: this by no means directed at all white men in the United States, or anywhere for that matter
HOWEVER, I believe that at times this is the hardest group to get through to because they don’t know what oppression feels like; unless they have been poor, but they otherwise haven’t been faced with people of the opposite gender harassing them, structural racial oppression, or police brutality

Lengthy article but very interesting!

Gender neutral housing (GNH) was introduced to Ohio University in the fall of 2011. Since its debut, the specialized housing has been cut in half.

GNH was developed to provide a living space where two students regardless of sex, sexual orientation, gender or gender expression can live in the same room.

Initially GNH could accommodate 50 students. In the fall, the size was cut in half, allegedly due to the large size of the incoming freshman class and lack of full capacity of gender neutral students. Located on South Green, aka “Dirty South,” in Smith House, GNH now occupies only half of the third floor.

Smith House is located in one of the farthest south buildings on South Green.  The location is…

How evangelicals won a culture war and lost a generation

Opinion by Rachel Held Evans, special to CNN

(CNN) – On March 24, World Vision announced that the U.S. branch of the popular humanitarian organization would no longer discriminate against employees in same-sex marriages.

It was a decision that surprised many but one that made sense, given the organization’s ecumenical nature.

But on March 26, World Vision President Richard Stearns reversed the decision, stating, “our board acknowledged that the policy change we made was a mistake.”

Supporters helped the aid group “see that with more clarity,” Stearns added, “and we’re asking you to forgive us for that mistake.”

So what happened within those 48 hours to cause such a sudden reversal?

The Evangelical Machine kicked into gear.

On the subject of Racial Violence

While I was growing up I had to live in a group home for two years during this time I was exposed to racial violence at my small, rural southern school. People threatened to cut my hair, they called me honky, cracker, and got in my face threatening to beat the ever loving shit out of me. From the other side there were Rednecks calling people the N-word casually and racially charged battles constantly happened because of it.

I want to know when the blood shed over that word will stop.

Stop racial violence now.

The Female sex drive may be the same or stronger than men’s

The Female sex drive may be the same or stronger than men’s

Wow what an interesting article! This article claims that women want sex just as much as men and that it’s not constantly attached to obtaining security, a husband, a baby! SEX just for SEX imagine that 🙂

I have always felt that women have a repressed sexuality due to slut shaming, rape, and the emphasis on purity and a woman’s value as well as being in a relationship.

Also Ladies, I will have you know that having lots of sex does not make your vagina LOOSE and WORTHLESS! It actually makes it stronger yes STRONGER and if you are concerned about that you can always do kegel exercises

Happy hunting ladies! (or not its up to you… its all about choice!!!)
